WP1 - Project Coordination, Management and Exploitation

Objectives

WP2 - Hardware, Software and Robotic Specifications

WP3 - Material Selection, Process Development of Printed Electronics and Printed Test Features on 2D and 3D Surfaces using Robotics

  1. Definition of technical device requirements and complimentary features
  2. Definition of objects 2D and 3D surfaces and materials for printing process
  3. Defining fabrication process parameters
  4. Design and development of the system

WP4 - Design, Fabrication and Characterization of Sensor System for Robotics

  2. Fabrication of the sensors based on material selection and fabrication technology

WP5 - Design and Integration of Process Modules - Inkjet Printhead, Ink Delivery/Recirculation and Treatments

  2. Definition of robot's spatial movement parameters (6 axis coordinate system)
  3. Definition of mechanical and electrical interfaces
  4. Design, manufacturing and integration of a printing module at a robotic arm

WP6 - Integration of Smart Functionalities to Robot and Setup Validation

Objectives

  1. Design of the final architecture
  2. Implementation of the final architecture on a simulated robot
  3. Obtaining a final version of the overall setup

WP7 - Development of »Library« Digital Tool Kit (DTK) and Software Implementations

Objectives

  1. Definition, requirements and specification of DTK
  2. Development of core, framework and UI for DTK
  3. Test of DTK in relevant environment for demonstration preparation. The main focus of WP 7 is to develop a digital tool kit (DTK) dedicated for robotics, inkjet technology, physical electronics and IT communication. The tool kit will link the design and manufacturing process (WP 3 and WP 4), extraction and post processing of the feedback data from sensors (WP 3 and WP 4) to the robotic interface and in addition machine learning for the robot in accordance to the situation (WP 2) and application complexity data acquisition, data processing, establishment of routines and suitable algorithms (WP 3, WP 4 and WP 7); and advanced multilevel system communication and their integration or compilation. The development of DTK dedicated to robotics for manufacturing electronics (through printing technology) in form of advancement in the machine learning and process automation programs will be considered as the final outcome of WP 7, that will correlate to the evolution of the DTK demonstrator finally in WP 8. For achieving such optimistic goals, Trivitec plans to perform the following tasks in collaboration with FPT.

WP8 - Final Demonstrators

Objectives

  1. Manufactured demonstrator should exhibit the performance of the sensor element along with mechanical 3D feature for realizing the smart functionalities added to the robotic arm
  2. Finalization, demonstration and exploitation of the digital manufacturing tool i.e. library, for realizing smart functionalities using inkjet and robotic technologies.

WP9 -Dissemination and Data Sharing

Objectives

  1. To disseminate obtained results from TREND project within Manunet programm
  2. To spread knowledge and attract different sectors e.g. general public, companies, science community
  3. To promote commercialization and transparency of product and services
